The strongest university libraries are at USP, UFRJ, and UnB. Researchers also have access to the National Library (Biblioteca Nacional) in Rio de Janeiro and the Library of Congress of Brazil (Biblioteca do Congresso do Brasil) in Brasília. The National Library is the equivalent of the United States Library of Congress, but the Library of Congress of Brazil is increasingly important. Brazilian libraries gradually are becoming computerized and linked to international information networks.
